Iridescent Learning: Imagine•Invent•Engineer

Koko helps launch the New York home for Iridescent Science Studios in the South Bronx. Come celebrate the opening of this incredible collaboration between Graduate Scientists from USC and Cooper Union with young budding scientists from the local schools. Koko Gives Back

Acquired through The 1% Organization, Koko has volunteered to take on a Brooklyn community based non-profit proposal for an after-school crafts and education program to include instruction with local artists, studio space and resources.  Fundraising efforts to follow!

Koko just completed the new studio and gallery for the Type Directors Club in New York City. While it was the first time that any client complained about the fonts we use on our titleblocks...the new home for the TDC met with rave reviews. For those of you who are not graphic designers...we will try to get some photos of the space up on our site very soon.

Koko has teamed up with our friend Cristina Gitti at Matta to open another store. This time...on the ground floor of ABC carpet and home. The ABC people are not sure what to make of koko's minimalist homosote installation set within their flea market aesthetic. stop by and check it out....

Kaleidoscope at Battery Park

We have some fun construction photos from a new playground design for the Battery Park City Day Nursery. Koko was commissioned to design a playground with sound barrier for the 333 Rector Place Condominium. Our solution was a structural roof scape filled with multicolored skylights.
The suspended clouds are cut from acoustically absorbing aluminum foam. We can't wait to see the colored light and cloud shadows casting spells on the kids below.

Koko in Taiwan

Koko creates an "L" shaped mixed use tower connecting Zong-Shan and Ming-Kahn roads in Downtown Taipei. The street level engages the existing urban arcade, while the residential units float seventeen stories above the scooter filled streets of Taipei.




Koko Takes School of Rock on the Road!

Following on the success of the School of Rock in Tenafly, New Jersey, Koko has been commissioned to design & outfit corporate Schools from coast to coast, including Roslyn, New York; Austin, Texas; Los Angeles, California; and Portland, Oregon.  In addition, Koko is aiding all future Franchise locations, all throughout the states, and preparing to go international.  Rock is Alive!




Japan Brand: The Wish List

Koko is busy transforming the Felissimo Design House's formerly posh Warren Wetmore Mansion into a serene exhibition of japanese craft. Stop by to see what Koko does with 100 yards of belgian linen and 50 concrete blocks. The store will only last through the holiday season...so be sure to check it out before it disappears.




Cookie Magazine Showhouse

Koko has been invited to design the ultimate baby nursery for Cookie Magazine. Our installation will be up for the month of October at the Riverhouse in Lower Manhattan. For more information, hours and directions....check out cookie living website.
